Open for the season

On Monday 1st March 2020 Exbury Gardens & Steam Railway will be opening for the season!

In light of the shortened season in 2020 due to COVID-19 - especially the lockdown that stopped visitors being able to see our world-renowned spring colour - we've decided to open as early as possible, enabling the public to experience as much of the beauty of Exbury Gardens in 2021 as they possibly can.

Tickets aren't yet on sale for March 2021 - sign up to our newsletter in the box at the bottom of this page, to get updates on when they will go on sale, plus lots of other interesting horticultural information.

Flowering highlights for March:
- Heather Gardens
- Daffodil Meadow
- Magnolias
- Camellias
- Early-flowering rhododendrons
- River of Gold (100,000 spring bulbs)

‘We recently had some friends from London to visit and were looking for something to entertain our young children for the day. We decided to give Exbury Gardens a try and I thought it was wonderful. We had Sunday lunch in the restaurant and the food was far superior to other local attractions so compliments to the chef. Walking through the gardens was beautiful with lots of little pathways to explore. I have lived in the Romsey area for many years and always thought Exbury was a little out of the way but it only took me 20 minutes from the motorway. We will definitely be a regular visitor from now on.’
