Gruesome garden trail

The voodoo of Halloween has turned our Rock Garden into a spooky graveyard this half term. Do you dare to enter? Walk through cobweb arches, see monsters emerging from the ground and ghosts on zipwires.

Don't worry, everything in this trail is a Halloween prop and is suitable for most children, although parental discretion is advised for those of a sensitive nature.

Lo and behold, one Wisteria the witch''s spells has gone wrong and some of her favourite things have gone missing in the Gruesome garden trail. Can you help her find them? Pick up an activity booklet from the Visitor Entrance on your way in and help Wisteria find her missing items, you could even win a prize for doing so!

‘A truly fantastic day out. My wife and I were bowled over by the amazing spring colours of rhododendrons and azaleas and there was literally colour everywhere. There are beautiful areas to walk through as well as places to sit. We took a picnic in the hope of being able to sit by one of the ponds and were not disappointed – the reflections were as spectacular as the real thing! The next thing we want to do is return in the autumn to see the colours change as it must be beautiful’
