Exbury's beautiful woodland garden covers 200 acres and is a jewel in the heart of the New Forest National Park. Created by Lionel de Rothschild in 1919, Exbury is a spectacular gardens offering natural beauty and horticultural variety on the edge of the Beaulieu River. This earthly paradise offers a riot of colour in spring, an oasis of tranquility in summer follwed by a spectacular show as the leaves changes in autumn.
We recommend you allow a minimum 2 1/2 - 3 1/2 hours to explore the Gardens (but up to 5-6 hours in the spring), plus time to spend in the Tea Rooms and on the Steam Railway.
Your group organiser can receive free entry into the Gardens and a free ride on the Exbury Steam Railway.
Your coach driver is entitled to free entry into the Gardens, a train ride and a discount in Mr Eddy's Tea Rooms.
A great option exclusively for our group visitors, this is a 30 minute introduction to the Gardens and their history, with a summary of current flowering conditions. Usually taken with a gentle stroll towards Home Wood but can also take place on a coach or –if previously arranged with the Exbury caterers –in Mr. Eddy’s Tea Rooms.
Cost: £50.00, for a maximum group size of 50 people.
A 1½ - 2 hour historical tour of the Gardens, recounting stories and anecdotes of the de Rothschild family and visiting the best of the colour. Tours start at the Visitor Entrance and can finish within the Gardens, at the Steam Railway, Five Arrows Gallery, or the Visitor Entrance.
