Closed Tuesday 25th August

Gardens and railway closure Tuesday 25th August

Exbury Gardens & Steam Railway will be closed on Tuesday 25th August due to extreme weather conditions forecast across the south coast.

This is very unfortunate considering we had to close just a few days ago for the same reason. However, we take our visitors safety very seriously and just can't risk any accidents. High winds can be very dangerous in our woodland gardens and so we have made the difficult decision not to open tomorrow. We plan to open on Wednesday, provided the weather forecast is safe enough to do so.

If you have booked tickets for Tuesday 25th August please call 02380 891203 to re-book for a later date, or arrange for a refund. For those of you that have booked for the Make a mini garden event, please call the above number to re-book for the reaaranged date of Thursday 27th August or to arrange a refund.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your understanding.

Kind regards,

The Exbury Team

‘A truly fantastic day out. My wife and I were bowled over by the amazing spring colours of rhododendrons and azaleas and there was literally colour everywhere. There are beautiful areas to walk through as well as places to sit. We took a picnic in the hope of being able to sit by one of the ponds and were not disappointed – the reflections were as spectacular as the real thing! The next thing we want to do is return in the autumn to see the colours change as it must be beautiful’
