During this one-day workshop, Jacqueline will guide you through the process of creating your own sculpture, weaving along with you. At the end of the workshop, you will have created your very own willow owl, ready to take pride of place in your home or gift to a loved one.

All materials including the willow, metal legs and stand are provided, with a choice of making a sitting or flying owl. You will learn a variety of techniques including random weave and simple basket making techniques to create your own individual sculptures.

No previous experience is necessary although some manual dexterity and patience will be required. This workshop is suitable for adults only. Bring sharp secateurs if you have and wear old trousers and sensible footwear. If you have suffered a recent injury, suffer from RSI, carpal tunnel syndrome or arthritis please check before booking, as you may find this workshop challenging.

Tea, coffee and biscuits in the morning and tea, coffee and cake in the afternoon will be provided. Bring a packed lunch or if you’d prefer to buy something here there are a range of food options available from Mr Eddy’s Restaurant and VGF’s.

The workshop is 10am-5pm, in the Azalea Room near the main car park and Mr Eddy's Restaurant.
