So you’re looking for somewhere to stay in the New Forest, ideally close to Exbury Gardens as well as within reaching distance of the coast, countryside and quaint villages. Luckily, Shorefield Holidays have two parks that fit the bill.

Both parks are located in Milford on Sea, just over a 30 minute drive from Exbury Gardens, making them ideally located for exploring the New Forest, Bournemouth, Poole and much more. Each park offers something different, so depending on what you’re looking for from your holiday there’s a variety of ways to take a break.

Shorefield Country Park is set in 100 acres and provides a wide range of self catering accommodation, from caravans and chalets, houses and cottages or even luxury lodges with hot tubs where you can retreat and unwind after a day of exploring. Just 800 metres from the beach at Milford on Sea, and a stone’s throw from the New Forest National Park, you’re never far from a scenic walk or picnic spot.

With a range of on-site facilities, there’s plenty to keep the whole family entertained during your stay too, from indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a fully-equipped gym, luxury sauna, steam room and a nightly entertainment programme – all of which is included in the cost of your holiday.

If you prefer being closer to nature and are looking for a more ‘outdoorsy’ break, Lytton Lawn Touring Park offers serviced grass and hardstanding pitches for tents, motorhome and tourers. Here you can kick back and relax in a peaceful setting and enjoy a basic break. What’s even better is that guests at Lytton Lawn can use all the facilities at Shorefield Country Park too!

‘We recently had some friends from London to visit and were looking for something to entertain our young children for the day. We decided to give Exbury Gardens a try and I thought it was wonderful. We had Sunday lunch in the restaurant and the food was far superior to other local attractions so compliments to the chef. Walking through the gardens was beautiful with lots of little pathways to explore. I have lived in the Romsey area for many years and always thought Exbury was a little out of the way but it only took me 20 minutes from the motorway. We will definitely be a regular visitor from now on.’
