Our real-life elves will be greeting passengers on our steam railway and interacting with children as they guide families on a special Christmas train journey. The elves are in a bit of a pickle and need your help to get Christmas back on track. 

Our beautiful replica Victorian railway station will be dressed for Christmas with decorations and a fantasic 10ft Christmas tree, making your journey extra-sparkly-special.

Departing from Exbury Central Station.
Timings

Exbury Gardens' Festive Express will run on December 4th, 5th, 11th and 12th December. 

Trains will depart from the station at the following times:

The Festive Express journey experience is approximately 30 minutes long and begins on the platform. Please arrive at Exbury Central Station around 15 minutes before your booked train is due to depart. This means you will need to arrive at the gardens much earlier, we suggest booking an arrival time slot for the gardens at least 30 minutes prior to your booked train departure time.

In line with Government guidelines, passengers will be required to wear a face covering whilst on board the Festive Express (unless exempt).

£5.85 (valid membership will be checked upon arrival)
Non-members £6.50 (plus gardens admission)

Book Festive Express rides 

(Under 3's travel free) 

To ride the Festive Express, visitors must purchase a valid Christmas Fair ticket to enter the Gardens, in order to ride the Steam Train.  (This includes Friends of Exbury Members.) These tickets must be booked online prior to arrival.

Restrictions

Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. 

‘We recently had some friends from London to visit and were looking for something to entertain our young children for the day. We decided to give Exbury Gardens a try and I thought it was wonderful. We had Sunday lunch in the restaurant and the food was far superior to other local attractions so compliments to the chef. Walking through the gardens was beautiful with lots of little pathways to explore. I have lived in the Romsey area for many years and always thought Exbury was a little out of the way but it only took me 20 minutes from the motorway. We will definitely be a regular visitor from now on.’
