We are very happy to announce that Exbury Gardens will stay open to the public until 20th December 2020.
We believe that keeping the gardens open to the public in this way is in the best interests of all, enabling our visitors to reap the mental and physical benefits of using our 200 acres of outstanding natural beauty for exercise.
Ticket prices have been reduced to £8 per adult and £3 per child to enable more people to enjoy the health benefits of visiting the gardens this winter.
The steam railway is closed but our play area is remaining open for families to enjoy, as are our toilet facilities. We also have a fantastic caterer, offering hot and cold drinks and snacks to take away, including a wide range of vegan and gluten free food.
Please also note that, as the days are getting shorter and the afternoons and evenings becoming darker, visiting hours have changed to 10am - 4pm, with last entry at 2.30pm.
The gardens are exceptionally beautiful at the moment, with our acer collection shedding vibrant scarlet leaves and our National Collection of Nyssa and Oxydendrum aflame with oranges and yellows. We are also having an exceptionally good year for fungi, with many interesting species carpeting our woodland garden. We have very rarely opened in December in the past and so it's a real pleasure to be able to show off our collections of rare trees and shrubs at this time of year.
