Don't miss late spring in the Gardens...

Rh. Pink WalloperThe American Garden is looking  good at the moment with several excellent hybrid Rhododendrons at their best. Look out for Rh. ‘Pink Walloper’ a superb free flowering shrub with huge pink and white trusses.  Close to the American Garden is a very large Wisteria flowering in a Yew tree.

Yard Wood - Look out for Rhododendron ‘Argosy’  close to the Rock Garden and Beschorneria ‘Quick Silver’ in the Rock Garden.

Rhododendron ‘Kilimanjaro’  in The Winter Garden is  looking good with deep red flowers. Take in the views at the Arromanches area.

The Iris Garden is not to be missed for the informal setting and the  Japanese Iris’s and other moisture loving plants.

Soon to be flowering by the Iris Garden and at Top Pond is the magnificent Tulip Tree (Liriodendron tulipifera). Notice the unusual leaves.

By Lovers Lane Cross Roads & in Home Wood don’t miss the Asian Dogwoods  Cornus kousa in flower.

The Chilean Lantern Tree (Crinodendron hookerianum) is flowering in Home Wood near the Wiggly tree and on the way to the Five Arrows Gallery.

The Herbaceous Border by the Five Arrows Gallery is coming into its own with Peonies, Iris’s, Thalictrums and  Euphorbia’s all  looking very good.

I hope to meet many of you on our next Breakfast Walk, staged as part of the Hampshire Food Festival on Sat 11 & Sun 12 July.
