Panoramic images show the beauty of Exbury.

German landscape photographer Herman Steigert spent the best part of spring 2009 in a little campervan at Exbury, in order to capture “The Glory of the Garden”, the sensational period when the Rothschild Collection of rhododendrons and azaleas are in full bloom.
The results of Herman’s work are now on display and for sale in the Exbury gift shop, in the form of a series of panoramic, fold-out postcards, gift cards and prints. The majority of images showcase the Home Wood Cascades and Azalea Bowl, with others highlighting the American Garden and Steam Railway. Herman hopes to be back in May this year to capture the deciduous azaleas and English bluebells in full flower.
“Exbury never fails to amaze me” said Herman. “I have captured many of the world’s favourite gardens on film, but Exbury is the Garden I keep returning to.”
