The cascadesThe cascades feed the Jubilee Pond, built to celebrate the Silver Jubilee of George V. Above the Jubilee Pond can be found late flowering rhododendron hybrids such as R. ‘Dragonfly’ and R. ‘Polar Bear’. Flanking the water’s edge is a mass planting of the Evergreen Azalea ‘Palastrina’. The grass is left long around the cascades, which encourages wild flowers throughout spring and summer. Masses of wild orchids appear in late spring. |
