Burmese bell

Hanging from an oak tree to one side of the Glade is an ancient Burmese Temple Bell rumoured to be from the booty taken from the sack of Rangoon, which was used to summons Lionel back to the House for meals. Near the bell is a planting of hybrid rhododendrons including the beautiful pink rhododendron ‘Charlotte de Rothschild’ named after Edmund’s youngest daughter.
