American garden

The American Garden has been named after the beds of American hybrid rhododendrons bred by Mr Greer of Greer’s Nursery, Oregon. He used Exbury hybrids to produce his range of rhododendrons, which are noted for large flower trusses and bright colours. Indeed the American Garden is one of the showiest parts of Exbury Gardens and one of his best, R. ‘Pink Walloper’, won a first class award at RHS Chelsea 2002.
