Easter Holiday Fun at Exbury Gardens!

Come to Exbury over the Easter holidays and share in our exciting and interactive family fun events. From bushcraft and storytelling to perilous plant adventures and egg trails, there is something for everyone including the chance to win some golden ticket prizes! All events are FREE but normal gardens admission applies. A full schedule of what’s on is below and pre-booking for certain activities is essential.

Thrilling family fun with the world's bravest explorer Mortimer Sparks in an exclusive new adventure through the gardens. Join Mortimer & his trusty sidekick Jinx Calhoun as they follow in the footsteps of Exbury's great plant hunters in a marvellous mystery. All children must be accompanied by an adult, only 40 spaces per trail (including adults).

Build a nature shelter, make a fire the bushcraft way and then toast marshmallows over it. Only 10 spaces per session, minimum age 5 years and all children must be accompanied by an adult.

StorytellingStorytelling website

Make woodland magic round a fire, enjoy the interactive storytelling of myths legends and folklore, while toasting marshmallows. Only 30 spaces per session, minimum age 5 years and all children must be accompanied by an adult.

Chocolate WorkshopsChocolate Workshops

Come and make an Easter egg lollipop with the very talented chocolatier Miss Witt. Only 12 spaces per session and all children must be accompanied by an adult.

Owl AcademyOwl website

The Owl Academy has 15 different species from around the world – come and meet a selection of them and learn about these beautiful animals. Have an opportunity to hold one, have your photo taken and see them fly.

Wednesday 12th April & Wednesday 19th April (no booking necessary, just come to our Tea Rooms within the gardens and see them)

Easter Egg Trails

Golden ticketBecome a super shell sleuth on our ‘Egg Explorer’ trail - discover the wild side of Exbury with our springtime meadow and river walk trails. Prizes galore to be won including some golden tickets!

Friday 14th – Monday 17th April - trails available every day. Free with gardens admission. No need to book, just pick one up on entry.

 

‘We recently had some friends from London to visit and were looking for something to entertain our young children for the day. We decided to give Exbury Gardens a try and I thought it was wonderful. We had Sunday lunch in the restaurant and the food was far superior to other local attractions so compliments to the chef. Walking through the gardens was beautiful with lots of little pathways to explore. I have lived in the Romsey area for many years and always thought Exbury was a little out of the way but it only took me 20 minutes from the motorway. We will definitely be a regular visitor from now on.’
